Bonjour tout le monde, I hope you're well and ready to learn a new French expression.

Today, we're going to take a look at the expression "c'est pas demain la veille".

Tomorrow is the day after. And the day before is the day before that.

So, what could it possibly mean?

This expression actually means that something is not about to happen. Something may happen, but not for a very long time.

So it's not going to happen any time soon. It's something, in fact, that looks like it'll never happen.

I'm going to give you some context because that phrase is a little bit... It's a little bit complicated.

It'll help you understand better, and above all, you'll be able to use it in sentences. Here's a first example

Clara and Pierre split up a year ago and Pierre still cries every day. He's not going to forget her anytime soon.

It's not going to happen.

And here is a second context.

I'm not going to be able to take a vacation any time soon. I have so much work, I work every day until 10pm and I start at 7am in the morning. I have no idea when I'll be able to take a vacation. I'm not going to be able to rest any time soon.

That's it for the expression c'est pas demain la veille. I hope you liked it and that you'll be able to use it too.

I say to you very soon to spend a very beautiful day.
