The snack ritual

In France, the snack is really considered as a fourth meal. This meal takes place around 4:30 pm. This moment is also called "the four hours".

"Snack" is also a verb like "lunch" or "dinner". I taste, you taste, he tastes... Normally, it is children who taste or have a snack on their way home from school before doing their homework. However, many adults also have a snack from time to time, rather than snacking during the day.

Traditionally, the French eat toast or brioche with, for example, spread or jam. More and more, other foods are appearing at snack time: cookies, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, etc.
